What is collected

When you join the P. Sykes reader list, the website records your first name, email address, whether you selected ARC opportunities or book and saga updates, the date of your consent, and whether you confirmed your email address.

How it is used

Your information is used only to manage the P. Sykes reader list, deliver advance review copies to confirmed ARC readers, and send the updates you selected. It is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

Storage and service providers

Reader-list information is stored with the website’s secure hosting provider. Resend processes your email information only to deliver confirmation messages and manage P. Sykes reader emails.

Optional website analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics”, this website records page views and Kindle preorder-button clicks, the date and time, a broad device category, and a referral category such as Facebook, Instagram, search or direct. These records stay with the website’s hosting provider and are not sent to advertising networks or linked to your reader-list information.

A random browser identifier is saved on your device only after you allow analytics. It changes each Melbourne calendar day and helps estimate daily visitors; it does not identify a person. Your choice is also saved on this device so you are not asked on every page. This analytics feature uses no cookies and does not save names, email addresses, IP addresses, full referring addresses or URL query strings. Ordinary hosting and security logs are separate and may process technical connection details.

Analytics records are retained for up to 365 days and older records are removed when new activity is recorded. Visitor counts are estimates: devices and browsers may be counted separately, and declined tracking, browser protections and blocked scripts are not measured. Daily visitor counts cannot be added together to give a unique-person total across several days.

Use “Analytics settings” at the bottom of any page to allow or decline analytics. Declining stops future analytics events and removes the saved browser identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. ARC access and reader-list signup never depend on allowing analytics.

Your choices

You can stop reader emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in an email or the website unsubscribe form. Requests will be processed as soon as practicable.
